తారకాసురుడు అనే రాక్షసుడు భూలోకానికి భయం కలిగించగా, దేవతలు రక్షణ కోసం ప్రార్థించారు. అప్పుడు శివపార్వతుల కుమారుడు స్కందుడు జన్మించి రాక్షసుని సంహరించాడు. తన వీర కుమారుని పెంచి దారిచూపిన తల్లిగా పార్వతీదేవి స్కందమాతగా ఆరాధించబడుతుంది.

The Story of Skandamata

As the mother of this mighty warrior, Parvati is worshipped as Skandamata—the mother who nurtured and guided her child to destroy evil and restore cosmic balance.
